Does anyone know how to eliminate the desktop icon for a program from one
user account desktop and let the same icon remain on na different user
account desktop

Does anyone know how to eliminate the desktop icon for a program from
one user account desktop and let the same icon remain on na different
user account desktop

If the shortcut is in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop
folder, then it will be deleted from all user accounts when you remove it
from any account.

To fix the problem, place a copy of the shortcut in the C:\Documents and
Settings\<user account>\Desktop folder. (Where <user account> is the account
where you want the shortcut to appear.)
