Desktop Icons

on W2K pro box, installed SP3. Machine froze on restart so
I hit reset button. Machine restarts but most desktop
icons (my cmp, net hood, dun, etc.) will not initialize
programs. Most programs will not initialize thru prgm mngr
either. I also got an "active desktop" (white screen)
error upon restarting too. However, the restore key is
ineffective. Any thoughts? Thanks

I found my problem. Zone Labs, zone alarm firewall was
messing up.
