Hi, I have an Acer Laptop and running windows xp home and while uninstalling
a program my computer froze. After trying all sorts of things I turned it
off. Upon restarting the computer there are no desktop icons or taskbar so
there is nothing I can do to get into any programs, even right clicking on
the desktop produces nothing. any help greatly appreciated.
cheers Ken

I don't see how that would work? WinKey+R is a hotkey used by Explorer.
If Explorer isn't running, then it won't work. Instead try:
Ctrl+Alt+Del, and start a new task: Explorer.

It's a known fix, everything is loaded but the GUI, typing Explorer
will start it.
