Desktop Icons move... annoyance

I've added some icons to my Windows Vista Ultimate system's desktop. Among
them are some shortcuts to various programs, and others such as Computer,
Control Panel, etc.
I placed these icons near the bottom of the screen. However, whenever I
reboot, the icons magically align themselves along the left side of the
desktop as they'd be in a "default" configuration. So I drag them back to
the bottom... then I reboot, and .... well you get the idea.
Is there some secret command, or hidden checkbox that I've overlooked?

In (Enterprise) I 'right clicked' on desktop,
'arrange desktop icons', the only ones that should
be ticked are 'align to grid' & show desktop icons'.
Position your icons as you want & then reboot.
The icons should stay where you put them.

Hope this works for you too.

Thanks LoneWolf, but "Align to Grid", and "Show Desktop Icons" were already
the only items checked. If "Auto Arrange" had been checked, then I'd have
never been able to position the icons at the bottom of the screen.
