desktop icons keep reappearing after deletion

I have this pesky HP Image Zone Plus icon on my desktop that I keep deleting
but everytime I log on it is there again. I've tried deleting it from the All
Users/desktop folder but it still keeps coming back. My guess is that this HP
computer has some defaults that over ride certain tasks, but I can't seem to
locate where these settings are. The app that goes with this icon is rarely
used hence it does not need to be on my desktop. I've been searching online
for help for about a week and so far they've all said the same thing aobut
deleting it from the All Users folder. Any help would be appreciated.

Some HP applications also run as Services (such as the msCMTSrvc Hot Deals
icon is recreated at every restart). See if there is a corresponding service
running for HP Image Zone Plus. Click Start/Run and type services.msc. Or,
remove the program from Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control panel.
