Hey All,
I have acquired a desktop Icon that I can not get rid of.
If I delete it, go on line with my browser (IE ver 6.0),
close IE down and the Icon will be there. It is a standard
microsoft icon with a white background and the standard MS
logo in the middle. It has a tilde (~) beneath it.
Hop someone can help me !!!

Thanks !!!

Willy

Willy,

The tilde (~) is a result of this patch:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/330994/default.asp

The file is created when certain changes are made to your address book. This is a non-fatal error, ignore it.

What is the ~ (tilde) file on my desktop?"
