DESKTOP HIJACKED!!!

Hi,
My desktop is now an HTML file and it is actually OVER my
wallpaper! I checked the properties and I went to the
location of the file, but it wasn't there!! I ran Ad-
Aware and it got rid of it for about 5 seconds. Now the
whole desktop just flashes white and baishe. Before I ran
Ad-Aware, it was an advertisement for some program that
deletes internet history. Somebody help please! All I
know I can do is format!

try switching off active desktop. ive seen this happen before, and turning
it off sorted it.

format is a very last beyond last resort.
