Something happened to my desktop last night, and I can't seem to figure out
how to fix it. Has to do with the taskbar--I use the QuickLaunch toolbar,
and those icons are okay; but where the icons for the programs you're
actively using usually appear in the center portion of the taskbar there's
nothing.....if you hit Alt-Tab you can get to them, but the icons are
nowhere to be found in the taskbar. The separator bar is there, and you can
slide it back and forth, but to the right of it is blank....now if you slide
it all the way to the right (or actually when you hit a certain point while
you're sliding it) the two "greater-than" arrows appear as if you've got so
many things open that it can't display them all; and if you click on it, you
can just see the very top of the tooltip text for the program that's open,
but there's nothing to click on to reopen it.

Another rather irritating thing that's happened is that when I click on
something in the taskbar, the cursor immediately shoots to the top
left-corner of the desktop.

Don't know what I did, but is there any way to reset this thing, or can
someone explain how to fix it?

Thanks for any help.....
Bob
