desktop freezes

Getting a freeze after launching explorer and opening a second link, no
links can be cliked on after that and opened.
 
I'm getting the same kind of problems. Also, I get
Explorer crashing and re-loading again. This is the error
message:
Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106,
faulting module mshtml.dll,

version 6.0.2800.1226, fault address 0x0003ef2e.

I have all the latest hotfixes and updates. They seem to
have caused more problems than they corrected.

I'll probably go back to Win 98. At least it was reliable.
