desktop background

Very basic problem:
I have changed my desktop to a picture which I now want
to delete. I have done the usual 'right click and go to
properties' but each time the unwanted background re-
appears. HELP!!!
 
Can't find a file containing it, have lookid in
everything, any other ideas?
