First find out what the name of the file is by opening your Display Options and the Desktop.
Then do a search for files of that name.
When you find it, delete it.
Default pictures for the XP desktop are stored in the following folder "C:\windows\web\wallpaper".
But because of the option to BROWSE for pictures and the transfer of web pictures to the desktop,
the picture file could be almost anywhere on your computer.
