desk icon freezes when i click on it.

Hi again
i have a word game which iv had on my desk top for years but for some reason
i get the message "page too small to operate- i tried to change the page
sizing but havent got a clue what im doing. I have xp 2000 home edition.
The message dosent always show up but when i click on it a few times my pc
freezes and i cant use any thing else unless i unplug my pc and restart it
but surely that cant be good for it.
I really dont want to reinstall the game as im at a very high level and it
would take me forever to reach it again.
I would be grateful for any help.

What is the name of the application you are trying to launch?

Surely, you have a game file which keeps your current progress & you won't
lose anything.
