How to I apply a downloaded design template to an existing presentation?

What version of PowerPoint?

In PowerPoint 2003, simply open the task pane (View => Taskpane)
on the down-arrow at the top of the task pane, use the pull down to
select design.
Click on the design you want to use
click on the down-arrow (next to the selected design)
select Apply to all
