Deletion problem

I was deleting programs from my computer using add/delete
programs menu under control panel and did something really
stupid. I accidently deleted the program list from my
start menu. All of the programs are still in the C: drive
under "Programs", but only a few show up when accessing
the programs from the start menu. The only ones that are
in the program list under the start menu are those with
icons on the desktop. Is it possible to get the programs
back, or am I going to have to reload everything from
scratch? Any and all information would be appreciated.

The only ones showing up for you are likely the Programs
that are in the All Users folder. Those will always show
up for anyone logging on to that machine.

A way to help fix things would be to copy the Documents
and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs folder to your
user section of Documents and Settings and then input the
rest of your custom folders/shortcuts from there.
