Deleting WINNT directory

After an aborted upgrade from XP Home to XP Pro, I finally got things running and got rid of the nag selection between the two. Is it safe now to simply delete the WINNT directory? I think it was a result of the attempted upgrade to XP Pro. I notice my notebook which is still original software has no WINNT directory, just WINDOWS.

Hi Robbie,

Follow the directions in Steps 2, 3 and 4 here to ensure that you won't be
deleting the installation that you want to keep:
