I imported a presentation from another user and it has transitions that I
wish to delete. I can't seem to get rid of them. Can someone point me to
the sequence of commands to delete transitions?
Thanks so much,

You can do this from any slide. Go to Slide Show> Slide Transition. Select
"No Transition" from the "Apply to selected slides" list of options. Then
click on "Apply to all Slides" button.

What Melissa said. But if you want to remove only a few of the transitions,
go to View > Slide Sorter.
Hold down the Ctrl key, and click on the slides that you want the
transitions to be removed.
Then, click Slide Show > Slide Transition.
Click No transition.

Marty,

If you do not want to show any animations - you can set the show to not show
them (this does not remove them).

slideshow menu > set up show > tick show without animations
