Deleting Slide Backgrounds from a Presentation in C#

Hey Guys

Sorry to trouble you all. Im having a problem when trying to delete
slide background in C# and PowerPoint 2000. I have a large image
(4mb) set as the background on a slide.

If I set the background of the slide to a solid colour, the background
changes within the slide but the filesize of the overall presentation
does not change. This means that the image is still being stored in
the file somewhere.

I have even tried deleting the slide that the hosts the background,
but this still doesn't seem to remove the large image from the
presentation even though its not visible.

Does anyone know where backgrounds for slides are stored, and how to
delete them programmatically?

Trouble? If this is trouble, we LIVE for trouble. ;-)

My suspicion is that it's nothing to do with your code and everything to do
with PPT's odd defaults.

If nothing else, turn fast saves off then resave your presentation after
changing the b/g to solid color from image. That might be all it takes.
