deleting saved document

i down saved a document. as it was being saved the warning "windows explorer
has encounted a problem and needs to close " pop up. and was saved with it.
as i try now to open the document that warning comes up with it. i cannot
delete the document. when trying to delete it the warning " error deleting
file or folder. cannot delete it is being used by another person or
program....". can anyone tell me how to fix this problem.
