Deleting Pictures

I have pictures in "My pictures", but every time I try to delete them, they
copy. How do I get this to stop?

Your hand is shaking. Try a more steady approach. Also, check the
settings of your mouse to be less sensitive in its Properties.

I don;t think that it is my mouse. I am highlighting and using the delete key.
Any suggestions?
