deleting old windows 98 files?

I just installed Windows XP w/out any problems. I would
like to free up some space. Do I need to delete the old
windows 98 file? Can I do this safely w/out affecting any
of the programs on my computer?

Did you upgrade? Or create a dual-boot system where you still can use
Windows 98 now?
