When I accidentaly add a new window, (by choosing
window/new window/...how do I delete this? This then
creates a :1 or :2 for my new window. Any ideas are
appreciated!

Thanks

Simply close one of the windows and you will be left with
the original...without the :1 or :2

Becky,

Just click the close button (X) on that new window. The workbook will remain
open , just the window will close.

I did do this on one of my spreadsheets, but I still have
a :1 on the file name. There is no second window, so I'm
a little confused?? This worked great on all the others,
is there a way I have the second window hidden?

Maybe...try menu WINDOW>UNHIDE

Is there any hidden windows listed there?

You guys are good, thanks for your help.

Click on <Window><Arrange ...><Tiled> and then close (Click on <X>)
