deleting message already spooling

T

Tara Miles

I hooked up an old computer today that has a large message
in the Outbox.

I am unable to delete it because it is already spooling.
This may have something to do with an error that pops up
that says mapisp32.exe. I'm not sure what this is either.

Any help that I receive will be greatly appreciated.

Do you use an Exchange Server?

I am having the same problem. There is a large file in the
Outbox and it cannot delete because the MAPI spooler has
started spooling it. I have tried stopping the mapisp32
service but it still won't delete it. I am not on
Exchange - the message is in a standard *.PST file.
Outlook 2000, Windows 98.

Any ideas anyone?

Create a new .pst file and make it the default. Close and reopen Outlook and
then delete the file from the old .pst file.

Have you tried using an outlook switch to open
the mailbox?

Try opening the mailbox in Outlook using
the ".../Safe" switch. The link below
will give you the instructions on how to use it. (Depending
upon your Outlook version):
