Deleting history

When I use internet options to delete history all seems
ok.When I use CTRL H all history re-appears.

Can anyone help.

Ctrl H brings up AND closes i. e. toggles the History pane to the right.
You need to go to Tools>Internet Options>General tab, then try using ALT+H
to clear history without getting the pane to the right. You should get the
message like "Do you want to clear history ?"
