Deleting gives me an error message -

When I try to delete an email from my inbox I get the error message that
contains "messaging interface has returned an unknown error" with a sound and
nothing happens. I have upgraded Outlook 2000 to SP3. At the same time, I am
having problems receiving emails from the server. Any help would be
appreciated.

I've restarted Outlook as the error message suggest but it didn't correct the
problem. I search on Google and the only thing I could find was a fix related
to forwarding mail not deleting. We're you able to solve the problem? If so
how?

Thanks for the respone! My pst is 1.8 Gb's. Also this problem started after
I tried to import another pst file yesterday which failed after several hours
of importing with the error "Unable to update public/busy data. Operations
failed. The pst I was trying import was approx 1.9 Gb's.

I also followed each of the 3 steps you referenced at
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/deletemessage.htm and none of them fixed the
problem. Any other ideas or suggestions?

Your pst-file has grown to over the limit. You must truncate it first using
the following tool;

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Wasn't aware my pst file was
near capacity. I deleted a very large file folder stored in my pst to free
up some space and I'm now able to receive and delete messages.

Very much appreciate your advice and assistance!!!
