Error Message with task: Messaging interface returned an unknown e

I have a Vista O.S. and just upgraded my Office 2000 to 2007. I am not able
to enter a new task without receiving an error message that won't let me
continue: a messaging interface has returned an unknown error. PLEASE HELP
ME

Create a new profile with a new data file.
Once done, if neccessary open your old data file and copy data from old set
of folders to the new set
