Deleting from folder is lasting forever

I think I have just done something incredibly stupid, and can't fix it.

I was sorting some files in Windows Explorer. I had a zip file of two
folders 6 photos for Windows and a duplicate folder for a Mac system, which
I can't use, so I selected the Mac folder and deleted it. It cleaned out the
photos, but left the folder and "the flying sheet to another folder" which
kept running and I couldn't make it quit. I noticed the empty MAC folder
was still there, so deleted it also. The Mac photos and the Mac folder are
gone, but now I have two dialog boxes "Deleting from Archive" with the
flying sheets over to another folder. Can't stop them, can't close them,
cannot close Windows Explorer.

They did not show up in the recycle bin. What will work?

Power Button.

I finally fixed it, by accident.
I decided to get rid of the original Zip folder with what was left of the
Windows-usable photos. By that time the Zip folder was back with it's
photos. I deep-sixed the whole thing. The error messages for the "deleting"
dialog boxes said it was a Compressed (zipped) Folders Error. After all was
said and done, none of it ended up in the Recycle Bin.
