Deleting Files

Hi, I am running Windows Vista 64 bit and recently, whenever I delete a file,
it gets deleted, but the recycling window pops up and never closes (have
tried leaving it for a few hours). The files are deleted, since they are in
the recycle bin, and if i manually kill the recycling window through task
manager everything is ok. Any ideas why this is happening, and how I can stop
it?

Unfortunately this didnt work. Just to reiterate the problem a bit more
clearly, I am able to delete files from any folder, and also can empty the
recycle bin fine. However, when I delete anything from a normal folder, the
recycle window that pops up saying something like 'Recycling 1 item (100
bytes) from Desktop (Desktop)' and has the green bar thing on it won't go
away, even after hours. This happens regardless of the size of the files,
since I tried to delete an empty folder I made and and a 40MB file.. This has
worked fine previously, and only started happening recently.

Thanks in advance.

You could just uncheck the "display delete confirmation dialog" box from the
Recycle Bin properties.
It doesn't fix the problem but its merely a workaround.
