DELETING ERROR MESSAGE

So i was stupid and i clicked on a link that some random person sent me
through AIM. and then i downloaded it. well...when i open it, nothing
happens. it said the type was MS-DOS Application. what is that? i want to
delete it but my computer won't let me. it says that access is denied because
of copyright or that it might be in use. i ran a virus detector for it and
nothing came up. please help!

Sounds like you opened a can o'worms.

download spyware proggy's and run them.

Try this.Start computer in safe mode by pressing F8 @ boot.Press
ctrl-alt-del to bring up task manager.Choose processes and if that
file is running,highlight and end process.Try deleting the file
again.You can also try renaming the file to .old,reboot and try
deleting it again.Is it being loaded at boot? Start>run>'type'
msconfig>startup tab.

okay...well i went under my dad's username and could delete it there. so
unless we have further problems, it seems like its taken care of.
