Can't delete unwanted icons

I all of the sudden have all these icons on my desktop and in my favorites
list and I cannot delete them. I went into add/remove programs and there is a
thing in there called search now. I cannot delete that in there, it won't let
me. I ran my adware software and my anti spyware and my anti virus, and
nothing was removed. HELP please.

icons do not appear in safe mode. ran the scans in safe mode, restarted, and
the icons were still there. did not work.
