deleting dll files

patrick

i cant delete dll files 'adsmsext, msexch40, msexcl40,
psexec'. They are located in 'C:\winnt\system32'. Every
time I go to I delete them, they delets, but comes right
back onto the computer in the same location and all. How
do I get rid of them permanently? The problem originates
from when booting up windows I always get a run-time error
53 message saying: file cant be found 'sex'. So I went
to search to find that file and those were the ones that
came up.
Now if you are to give me any advise as far as going
into dos or start up in safe mode to delete these files.
Will you tell me how to go about that, because I have the
slightest idea.

You play a very dangerous game when you delete stuff
that you don't know what it is. Look at msexcl40 for
example. That's part of MicroSoft Excel. I believe
msexch40 is part of Microsoft Messaging. I believe
adsmsext has something to do with Windows Active
Directory and psexec is part of Systinternals
telnet-replacement. If you continue this practice,
I don't doubt that somewhere down the line you'll
be posting a message titled "Help, my computer
won't start".

Please don't post the same question independently to more than one group.
That's called multiposting, and it's very annoying because it
fragments discussions and wastes everyone's time. This question was asked
and responded to in win2000.general.
