I've got a large divx avi file that won't delete from my
hard drive. I keep getting an error message saying that
the file is being used by another program. I've closed
all programmes and even removed DivX player but it still
won't go. How do i find out what is stopping it from
being deleted?

Thanks

Here are two techniques to try, either of which should reportedly do the
trick:

1) Create a new, empty folder. Cut and paste the avi file into that folder.
Delete the entire folder.

OR...

2) Put a blank Notepad txt file into the same folder as the problematic avi
file. Select the txt file, press Ctrl key and select the avi file also.
Delete both files.

Ian.
