Deleting A file

Hello
I unistalled a program and there was a reminder to
register the program. After I deleted the program the
message is popping up on computer when I turn it on
stating that can't find the remind.exe file. I looked on
the C: drive where the message was stating the file was
located at one time but can't find it. I think maybe this
reminder.exe is in the startup field. I do not know how
to get to this field to delete this from popping up each
time my computer is turned on. Any suggestions. Thanks

On the Start Menu, choose Run and type msconfig. There, choose the Startup tab and see if the program that's bugging you is there.

You can check 2 things:
1. Under Programs / Startup and see if its under there.

2. Start / Run type in MSCONFIG and click on the STARTUP Tab and see if its
in there and uncheck it.
