Deleting a file

Hello,
I'm having a problem deleting a file on my PC. I downloaded it with the name
"fm2005_gold_demo.exe.torrent" extension to be used in a BIT Torrent program.
But, somehow it lost the ".torrent" extension and became
"fm2005_gold_demo.exe", with the same size, though (260Kb). I can't delete it
because Windows keeps giving me the message it is being used by anothe
program or person. That is just impossible, since it's my home PC and I've
disconnected it from the net to make sure nobody else was accessing it. Also,
it is not being used by anothe program. Still I can't delete it.
Please, help me deleting this file. Tell me how.

Thank you,
Motta

Hi Motta,

Sometimes when I've had this problem in the past it is because the torrent
programme is still open somewhere. Check in the system tray (bottom left
part of screen) that your torrent programme is not there. If it is
right-click and exit the application. Try again to delete your file, if
this doesn't work try restartiung your computer and starting again.

Hope this helps.
