Deleteing Expired Recurring Outlook Tasks

Using Oulook 2003 SP2. I have a recurring task that was not completed before
the series expired - ie. the series was 2 weekly from 23 May 06 to 01 Aug 06
- the first one (23 May) was never marked as complete. It is still thaere
and I can do nothing with it - can not complete it; can not delete it; can
not change any of its details (like the recurrance dates) - any time it is
touched Outlook crashes. Any ideas? Thanks

Problem solved - however, it was done accidently by an amateur - and she does
not remember how! So - thanks to anyone who looked at it.
