recurring tasks in Outlook

I am trying to set up recurring tasks in Outlook - I go to the
Recurrence screen and
set it up to recur, for example, monthly on the 1st day of each month
to start
on a particular date and then go on indefinitely. When I hit the save
button, it only
puts the task on the first month. I want it to show up every month,
quarter,
or whatever that I've set up the task. Any suggestions?

It will be there every month - depending on what view you use. When you
complete the Task it will regenerate.

There is only one Task item so you can't see more than 1 of it at a time.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

Do you mean that if I set up a task - say to "send out report ABC" on
the 5th day of each month, beginning Feb 5, that I won't see the task
on my Mar 5th task pad until I've marked the Feb 5th task complete??
That's not what I'm looking for. When I enter that task, I want to see
on the 5th day of each month that I have to "send out report ABC".
What I want to be able to do is look forward several months and see
what routine tasks I've got to do on certain days, so that I can plug
in other tasks. Is that possible?

Yes - the workaround I suggest (as Tasks won't do that) is to make a
Recurring Event and make it a noticeable colour using the Label function.

The events will show at the top of the calendar.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!
