Recurring Alarm 4 A Recurring TASK

In case of TASKs when I select a recurrence, the reminder seems to be limited
to a single date/time as compared to CALENDAR instead of a recurring time
reminder.

Any idea how to set an alarm to be reminding every week at 5:00 PM on the
day day before the day of task for preparation.

For a recurring task, you need to actually complete the task to be alerted
for the next instance of the recurrence.

In other words, I set up a task that's due on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I get an alert on Monday to do the task. I dismiss the alert.

If I don't mark the task as completed, I won't be alerted for Wednesday.
If I do mark it as completed, I will.

I mean, that's what tasks are for. To be completed (or not, and you get
fired, but that's neither here nor there).

Thanx!
An XCLent guidance.
You mean to say I actually have to set the alarm for Saturday 5 pm so as to
remind me of Monday morning's task and in the same respect, select Tuesday &
Thursday's check boxes to be reminded for Wednesday & Friday?

No.

Although, rereading, I see you were asking something completely different.

What version of Outlook?

Its Outlook 2007!

Ok, no need to shout.

When you set up the task, and you check the box for Reminder, make sure you
set the date of the reminder to be the day before the first occurance of
the task.

In other words, when I just created a task, it's going to start on 12/23.
So, for the Reminder date, I'd put in 12/22. That Due date -1 Day will
carry through all the task occurances.

What I said previously still matters, tho. The only way you get notified
for Wednesdays Task is to complete Tuesday's task. And then to be notified
for Thrusday's, you must complete Wednesday's.
