Deleted Solitaire

Yesterdya (10/17) I wrote that I mistakenly deleted the solitaire game
from my computer.
I tried the 2 suggestions about going to Control, add programs, add
windows components, re checked Solitaire but can't get it so
reinstall.
on One try it asked for the XP serice pack 2 disk, which I put in the
drive, it still didn't work.
Any more suggestions?
Can I copy the file from another computer I have and install it on
mine ?
Thank you

Usually, Solitaire is the "sol.exe" fprogram file, which is normally consider
a "system file" which Windows XP would protect. However, you can:

1) Control, add programs, add>windows components, unchecked Solitaire and
exit.

2) Control, add programs, add windows components, re checked Solitaire and
exit.

This should 1) Remove Solitaire completely and the 2) place it bak again.

By just re-checking Solitaire, but not exiting so as to remove, may not cause
the Windows Components to repair the missing file(s).

If you still do not have it, then try Start --> Run: sol.exe <Enter> / [OK].
This is the exact Windows program that Solitaire uses. You would need to
re-do a "shortcut" for it.

Just do a search for SOL.EXE and drag it to the desktop or anywhere else you
want the icon....

Are you certain that you did not merely delete the shortcut? If that is
all, it is easy to create a new one.
