Hi all, recently I was ridding my computer of obnoxious
spybots, etc. (over 400 after one sitting!), and found I
had to run RegEdit and delete a Reg Value (or maybe
Key?...not sure). Unfortunately, I think I deleted one
entry by mistake. Now my IE will close itself and give me
the following error (this also appears after I close all
IE windows after a long session)
------------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++
------------------------------
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
R6025
-pure virtual function cell
------------------------------
also, I now get an excessive amount of popups while
online, though I realize that everyone will get a pop up
or two while online, before this incident I was able to
keep it at 1 popup on only certain sites using a standard
Pop Up guard (the MSN or Goggle toolbars). When I deleted
the Reg value (or key?) my pop guard toolbar deleted, and
when I went to reinstall it I was told that toolbars had
been disabled. I enabled it and reinstalled, but it has
not been working like it use to.
another, sort of off topic annoyance that I've had is
that everytime I boot up my computer before my desktop
fully loads my System32 folder pops up. anyway I can stop
it from doing this?
if anyone can offer help (like maybe a way to get my Reg
value/key back!! lol) I would be much obliged
thanks,
