A Few Corrupt Registry Keys

E

I have a few (maybe 4) corrupt keys in my Windows Registry. At least 2 of
them are in HKLM.
Any attempt to search the registry with REGEDIT results in my computer
rebooting, if the search string is not found before a corrupt key is
encountered.
Any attempt at exporting the registry branch with the corrupt key results in
my computer re-booting.
To repeat: I cannot export to a REG file. I cannot search the registry.
This problem is NOT new. I have had it for quite a while. It is a PAIN.

Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Which 2 (maybe 4) registry keys are corrupt and how did you arrive at
this conclusion?

Have been editing the Registry? Could this be the cause of your present
problem?

How do you know you have corrupt Registry key?

When did the problem start? Did you have a malware infestation about the
time the problem started?

Have you been using a Registry Cleaner?

Hope this helps.
