I am running windows 2000. I have uninstalled several applications that I no
longer use that tool up several gigabytes of hard disk space. I have also
had to uninstall and reinstall large applications to get them to work
correctly. When I go the the C drive in the "My Computer" folder,I have
noticed that the pie chart that shows how much hard disk space is available
does not seem to decrease after I delete large files or uninstall
applications that use a lot of disk space. I have tried running the disk
cleanup utility, defragmenting the hard drive, rebooting, but nothing works.
How can I reclaim the disk space that was once being used by these deleted or
uninstalled files?
