Deleted email account still trying to send/receive

When my email tries to send/receive I keep getting a pop up window for
password on an account that has been deleted. If I go into tools, email
accounts...the one I deleted is gone. How do I get it to stop trying to
send/receive? I am using Outlook 2003

Perhaps you have an undeliverable read receipt in the Outbox that is trying
to use the old account. See this:

No nothing there. Are old email accounts stored somewhere else? The email
account has been deleted from my Outlook and from the actual server it was
created on. My Outlook just wants to keep trying to connect as it does with
the other email accounts I have. All the others are working fine and showing
there. Hmmm..This pop up is driving me crazy!
