Deleted Desktop Icon

I stupidly deleted my desktop Icon from the shortcuts on
the task bar, and emptied the recycle bin before
replacing it. I have no idea how to replace it, can
anyone help?

Right click on an empty part of the task bar, all the options are there...

That may be... but some people like having a 1 click
button on their taskbar than right click and choosing from
a menu. I, for one, would rather spend 5 minutes putting
the icon back to save the 2 seconds it would take me to
right click and find the menu option every time I want to
see my desktop.

By the way... Windows Key + D is even quicker yet

Dam I feel a bit stupid now, had I read the original post properly I would
have realised that she has deleted the icon which cannot be replaced the way
I have told her. Lucky for her Don is on the ball and spotted this.
