Click Tools on the taskbar, then click Internet Options
On the tab marked General, look for the area marked Histor
(near the bottom), then click on Clear History.

Doing this seems to clear the internet sites that I have
visited, however it will not clear the history of Google
searches (ie if I type "hockey" in MY Search or Google,
the word hockey will remain in the search history).
