Delete remainder of a recurring appointment without resetting allprevious appointments

Hi,

I have a recurring appointment set every 9am on Monday, Wednesday and
Friday of each week with no end date which has been going on for
years. Over time the appointments have inevitably been moved around
and been swapped from day to day.

Here's the challenge: I'd now like to stop the rest of the
appointments from appearing in the diary but i need to keep all the
historical information - especially the dates and times of the
appointments. The problem i have is that when i edit the recurrence
and try to change the end date - it resets all the previous appts back
to their original 9am slots which is just no good. (have been
experimenting with a test appt). So how can i do it?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts....

try exporting to excel and importing those back. it will break the
recurrance and import individual appointments but maintain the changes.

Hi Diane,

I tried that but it's in a shared calendar (public) on the exchange
server so i can't export it (export only allows local folders).
Any other thoughts - it's a real head scratcher?

Then move it to a calendar folder that you've specifically created in your
folder set for the purpose, export it to generate individual events for the
recurrences, import it again into that folder (after deleting the real
recurring event), and copy the contents of that calendar back to the public
folder.
