Delete or format

hello all,
I realise this may be the wrong news group but there seems to be more
informed people on line here.
Having transferred my photos to the PC and I no longer need to retain the
snaps in my camera ( a 128 mb SD card) do I keep on deleting forever, or,
and this is the question, when do I use the format button ? What's the
difference ?

My Camera mfg says FORMAT

Format rewrites the tracks and sectors
Delete makes the file not visible

There's no need to format the card so long as it's working properly. Always
make sure that files have successfully transferred to your HD before
deleting them from the card.
