When I right click on a file and select Open With - Program, I have two
lists of programs: ''Recommended programs'' and ''Other programs''. I want
to the delete these lists. For Reccomended programs list I found
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_open_with.htm but I didn't found
anything for Other programs list. I search an utility that could delete
Other programs list or, if an utility don't exists, a way to delete it with
regedit. May you help me?

Thanks.

Remove unwanted entries from the context menus

The program I was searching to remove is gvwgs32.exe. I manually added it
(for error) to Open With list. I removed it by deleting the following keys:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1343024091-436374069-725345543-1004\Software\Classes\Applications\gvwgs32.exe]

[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1343024091-436374069-725345543-1004\Software\Classes\Applications\gvwgs32.exe\shell]

[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1343024091-436374069-725345543-1004\Software\Classes\Applications\gvwgs32.exe\shell\open]

[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1343024091-436374069-725345543-1004\Software\Classes\Applications\gvwgs32.exe\shell\open\command]
@="\"C:\\Programmi\\Ghostgum\\gsview\\gvwgs32.exe\" \"%1\""

Every time I need to delete something in Open with list I must do long and
boring researches in the windows registry. What I'm searching for is a
standard procedure or an utility to make this simple. Have you got any idea?

Thanks.

I haven't seen a utility around that would do this but you could search google and
see if something comes up.
