Hi,

Question regarding EWF partition.
Is there DOS tool which can delete EWF partition created in extended
partition?
I figured out that when XPE is running, we can delete EWF partition with
"etprep -delete" command.
However the device environment is the 4GB DOM with one primary partion and
extended partion with one logical drive.

nami,

I am not aware if there is a separate tool provided by Microsoft to delete the hidden EWF partition under DOS.
However, why don't you want to use fdisk (DOS)?

Also, some third party partition managers would be able to see that partition and would allow you to delete it. I.e., Paragon
Partition Manger (the DOS part of it).

KM,

Thank you your reply !

This question should not be asked to ng of xpe, but I would appreciate if
you give me some advises・・・

I deleted EWF partition (logical drive) in extended partition on screen and
then I deleted other logical drive.
After that I tried to delete the extended partition itself, but the message
appeared as "Extended partition can not be deleted with logical drive
remains".
(Even though it also displays a message as "logical drive doesn't exist".)
Wrong usage of fdisk may be causing this problem?
