Delete Block? No (Yes)

When I select a block of text and hit delete this message comes up. (Also
the delete button will not work in the Outlook email address field.) Select
/ delete worked fine for me before.
My best guess is that I somehow turned on this option when I made a couple
adjustments under "Tools > Options" in Microsoft Word.
How do I turn it off!? Do I have to reload Word to clear this?
