delay write error

I keep getting a delay write error.Which looks something
like this: "A file could not be save to my local file
because delay write failed so I should try to save the
file in an other place." I do not understand any of this
so I would not know how to locate this file to save to
another file.
I get about 10 to 15 of this message a day for about three
days now. how do fix the delay write problem. My os is
xp pro.

It generally means your disk drive is starting to fail ... so back up
any irreplaceable data files NOW.
