delay in sending

I am using Windows Mail in Vista.When I am sending new mail it is going to
outbox but is not sending.Sending is only if I close and open again Windows
Mail.Button "send/recive " not working

Hi, Leszek.

Is your Internet service by dial-up? Or broadband?

In either case, have you checked the box in Tools | Options | Send to Send
messages immediately?

If you have "Send messages immediately" checked, which antivirus
are you using? Some of them are not very compatible with Windows Mail.

Norton antivirus is among the top three troublemakers for Windows Mail.
The only way you can prove or disprove that Norton is the culprit is to
uninstall it, followed by using their debris removal tool:

Another option is to upgrade to Windows Live Mail, which is more
resistant to the adverse effects of aggressive antivirus products:
http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

In any case you must disable any antivirus email scanning, for the reason
explained here:

I found solution in old discussion from 2007.My coputer Toshiba had
preinstaled SMS Desktop.When I removed this program from my computer my
Windows Mail started work correctly
